Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of this rare and unusual species from Nevada!!! Kleinite has a rather peculiar chemistry among minerals, as it is a mercury nitrogen chlorosulfate!!! This specimen hosts a rich showing of bright yellow crystals of kleinite on matrix!!! The kleinite is much more crystallized than it appears in the pics!!! The crystals consist of highly complex forms and groupings with lustrous faces and intense color!! While there are numerous fine examples of single crystals present, there are broad groupings of crystals that show numerous tiny lustrous faces throughout!!! This is a magnificent example of this rare species!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
