Kolwezite pseudomorph after Barite Kolwezi Mine, Kolwezi, Western area, Katanga (Shaba), Democratic Republic of Congo (Zaïre) 6.2cm x 4.9cm x 3.26cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of kolwezite from the type locality!!! This specimen consists of what was once a cluster of intergrown blades of barite that has been completely replaced by deep green kolwezite!!! The kolwezite has a characteristic slightly olive green hue that is much more apparent in person!!! The kolwezite crystals seem to grade from deep olive green at the core to a more lively green near the tips!!! This is a very aesthetic and unique specimen indeed!!!
