Description/Interesting Notes: A historic example of kyanite from New York City!!! This specimen hosts several light blue crystals of kyanite in association with almandine garnet in schist!!! This specimen was collected during the excavation of the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel!!! This specimen retains an affixed label and its original label from the Wintringham Collection!!!
