Description/Interesting Notes: An absolutely remarkable example of kyanite from Brazil!!! I have to start out by saying that this kyanite specimen is unlike any other I have ever seen in terms of color - it is absolutely unique!!! This specimen consists of a sharp and terminated single crystal of intense blue kyanite!!! The color is VERY deeply saturated - an intense electric royal blue!!! It is actually somewhat similar to a very thick veszelyite (that slightly greenish blue hue) crossed with a gemmy backlit azurite crystal!!! The pictures simply don't capture how extraordinary the color is in person - this is not just simply a dark blue kyanite from Brazil - it is UNIQUE!!! This crystal is sharp, complexly terminated, gemmy, and highly lustrous!!! We acquired this specimen several years ago when we acquired a portion of Charlie Key's material!!!
