Description/Interesting Notes:
A rare example of native lead from Franklin!!! This specimen consists of a willemite vein in andradite matrix that hosts a rich distribution of included
native lead and native copper!!! The native lead is present as grayish black inclusions and as a few tiny submillimeter exposed veinlets!!! There are also
numerous inclusions of bright native copper, as well as a couple tiny crystals as well!!! Both the lead and the copper are best viewed with a loupe or scope, however
one can see with magnification that the species are quite rich!!! There is a dark outer layer on the reverse of the specimen and there is a very thin, whitish line of
unidentified mineralization as well!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the Jenkins collection and retains
its original personal collection label!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
