Description/Interesting Notes:
A rare example of native lead from Franklin!!! This specimen consists of a combination of willemite and andradite with a small amount of rhodonite
that hosts a
significant distribution of included native lead!!! The native lead is present as grayish black inclusions and as a few
tiny submillimeter exposed veinlets!!! The lead is best viewed with a loupe or scope, however one can see with magnification that there are
small areas of both included native lead and exposed crusts of native lead!!!
There is a dark outer layer on the reverse of the specimen as well!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the Jenkins collection and retains
its original personal collection label!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
