Description/Interesting Notes:
A rare, old time example of native lead from Langban!!! Examples of native lead are rarely found in nature because
it so readily alters into other minerals, however these old time specimens from Langban represent
some of the finest examples of the species!!! This specimen consists of a highly complex, subhedral crystal of
native lead with associated species on much of its surface!!! Upon close inspection, one can see that the
crystal appears to have an overall cubic form with complex, hoppered forms within!!! The specimen is
heavy and solid!!! This specimen is from the Sorbonne Mineral Museum and retains a museum label as well!!! Classic
material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY JUNE 28th!!!
