An absolutely incredile example of rare native lead from Langban!!! We recently obtained an old stash of native lead specimens from
an old museum!!! This specimen was by far one of the most impressive specimens in the lot!!! While most of the specimens are almost entirely coated
with a thick coating of hydrocerussite, this specimen is very dense and had just a thin coating of hydrocerussite!!! There is a small spray of black
allactite crystals as well as a small gemmy crystal of cerussite tucked in a small nook!!! This specimen exhibits some curious, crudely crystalline forms and
is simply magnificent in person!!! Usually native lead specimens are quite small and usually amount to tiny lumps on matrix - this specimen is almost entirely comprised of native lead!!!
Simply a superb example of this rare native elemental species!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
