Native Lead with Andradite & Rhodonite
Parker Shaft, Franklin, Franklin Mining District, Sussex Co., New Jersey
4cm x 3.4cm x 2.9cm
Ex. Robert E. Jenkins II Collection No. 6584
Description/Interesting Notes:
A terrific example of rare native lead from Franklin!!! This specimen consists of a matrix of intergrown rhodonite
and andradite with several other associated species that host fine, microcrystals of native lead included within,
filling thin cracks!!! The native lead is best appreciated under magnification and more could likely be revealed by
trimming if so desired!!! There are some unidentified species in association as well!!!
Old material!!! This specimen is from the collection of Bob Jenkins and retains his original collection label as well!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
