Description/Interesting Notes:
A rare example of native lead from Franklin!!! This specimen consists of a matrix of light pink rhodonite and amber colored
andradite that hosts inclusions of native lead within!!! There is one significant inclusion of native lead visible centered on the
broad face of the specimen that is quite impressive!!! There is an elongated "sheet" of native lead under a very thin
section of rhodonite, allowing the native lead to retain its brilliant metallic luster!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope this
inclusion is quite impressive!!! Rarely do you see such presentation of native lead!!! In addition to this significant inclusion, there
are many other minute inclusions to be seen with a loupe or scope as well!!! There are also a few tiny yellow-green crystals present as well -
while they looked superficially like willemite, they do not show dramatic fluorescence oddly!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
