Description/Interesting Notes:
A classic, old time example of leadhillite from the type locality in Scotland!!! This specimen comprised mostly of leadhillite with
some other lead-bearing species in association as well!!! Although it is difficult to appreciate in the pics, both sides of the
specimen show numerous lustrous flashes of broad, leadhillite cleavage faces!!! One side shows numerous tiny, somewhat altered
areas of crystalline leadhillite in association with some other unidentified species (there is much more to be seen upon close
inspection with a loupe or scope)!!! The other side shows broad, lustrous cleavage planes of leadhillite crystals across its
flattened surface!!! There is also a small vug filled with bright yellow, almost acicular, spikey crystals of pyromorphite!!!
Old classic material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
