Leucite
Monte Somma, Somma-Vesuvius Complex, Naples Province, Campania, Italy
7.3cm x 5.2cm x 2.32cm
Ex. L. L. Hubbard (1849-1933)
Ex. A. E. Seaman Mineral Museum No. DM-7159
Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic old time example of leucite from this classic locality!!! This specimen hosts numerous crystals scattered about the darkly
colored matrix!!! The main crystal has sharp faces and is complete all around!!! The crystal is prominently perched on the matrix and
measures well over 1.8cm!!! This specimen is way better than the pictures show!!! This specimen retain an old label from the A.E. Seaman Mineral
Museum collection with notation that it had been donated by L.L. Hubbard (1849-1933)!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
