Description/Interesting Notes:
A magnificent example of this rare grossular garnet varietal from the Jeffrey Mine!!! This specimen consists of a showy cluster of
rare, colorless grossular garnets, also known as leucogrossular!!! These unusual crystals are truly colorless, not just "very pale hessonite garnets"
- although it is difficult to tell in the pictures the crystals are actually whitish-colorless in person!!! The crystals are razor sharp and significantly sized!!!
The crystals have bright, glassy luster and marked clarity!!! There appear to be some micro crystals of an unidentified whitish mineral in association as well!!! Simply
a magnificent example of rare "leucogrossular" colorless grossular from this famed Canadian locality!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY APRIL 14th!!!
