Linarite with Leadhillite Grand Reef Mine, Santa Teresa Mts, Aravaipa District, Graham Co., Arizona 6.32cm x 3.9cm x 3.76cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic, old time example of linarite with leadhillite from Arizona!!! This specimen hosts a protected vug that is loaded with juxtaposed crystals of intense royal blue linarite!!! Often times linarite crystals are encountered laying flush with the matrix, however these linarite crystals are prominently exposed which allows for maximum light to pass through them - which really makes their color "pop" in person!!! There is a single, blade-like group of leadhillite crystals present among the linarite crystals and - more notably there is a significant crystal of leadhillite perched in an adjacent vug!!! The leadhillite crystal has a somewhat pearlescent luster and is comprised of a group of thin, blade-like crystals!!! Upon close inspection one can see some hexagonal features among the leadhillite crystals!!! There are also some tiny crystals of caledonite and cerussite present on the specimen as well!!!
