Description/Interesting Notes:
A rare example of leiteite and ludlockite from Tsumeb!!! Both ludlockite and leiteite are quite rare and matrix specimens
are exponentially more so!!! This specimen hosts a gemmy mass of leiteite that is richly included with
bright orange-red fibrous crystals of ludlockite!!! The ludlockite erupts out of the leiteite in showy tufts of crystals, yet
those that are still included in or intimately associated with the leiteite exhibit a highly ordered structure similar to that seen
in rutile crystals!!! Upon close inspection one can see numerous tiny tufts of ludlockite scattered about the matrix as well!!! There is
also a tiny vug with some quartz crystals that hosts numerous tiny, tan colored balls of an unidentified species as well!!! Rare
material (there is a lot more going on when viewed with a loupe or scope as well)!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
