Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent and highly unusual crystal of rare axinite-Mg (magnesio-axinite) from this famed Tanzanite locale!!! This specimen consists of a highly complex, compound crystal of unusually colored magnesio-axinite in association with graphite, tanzanite, and tiny whitish crystals of calcite!!! The crystals are in fantastic condition and show a highly complex morphology with complex, highly lustrous features!!! The crystals show a very unusual, rich salmon-pink color and marked clarity as well!!! The complex color and morphology make it look quite unlike anything else see from the locale, however it is a confirmed magnesio-axinite!!! One can see a small amount of rich purplish tazanite affixed to the bottom of the crystal and there are some areas of associated graphite as well!!! There are groups of tiny whitish calcite crystals that also host some tiny, unidentified species among them as well!!!
