Description/Interesting Notes: An amazing, old time example of malachite after azurite from this seldom referenced locale!!! This specimen consists of a cluster of quartz crystals sticking out of a dense cluster of dramatically elongated prismatic crystals of malachite after azurite and azurite crystals!!! While this specimen might at first appear to simply be primary, acicular malachite from a distance - further examination reveals that these are actually razor-sharp, GEMMY pseudomorphs of bright green malachite AFTER azurite!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or a scope one can find some crystals that still show partial areas of azurite and see some sharp, lustrous terminations and faces on the crystals!!! This is truly incredible material indeed!!! Very show and attractive old time specimen!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer!!!
