Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic, old time example of malachite and cerussite from Tsumeb!!! This specimen consists of acicular crystals primary malachite
aesthetically paired with lustrous crystals of cerussite!!! The acicular
malachite crystals are well formed have particularly lively green color!!! The cerussite crystals are present as complex and juxtaposed
intergrown crystals!!! The cerussite crystals are sharp and lustrous with marked clarity and a handsome green hue caused by included
malachite!!! This specimen retains an old, affixed label that actually describes the specimen as "Atlasite with Cerussite"!!! Atlasite
is a discredited mineral that was once considered to be something of an intermediary between malachite and atacamite!!! The fact that
it was once identified as something other than malachite however, speaks to the fact that this specimen certainly has a unique and
particularly lively appearance in person!!! This specimen is in fantastic condition all around and displays magnificently in person!!! OLD Tsumeb
material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
