Description/Interesting Notes: A classic, old time example of malachite from Russia!!! These old time malachite specimens from the Urals have a characteristic density and fineness that is unlike that of any other locality!!! This specimen consists of a complex mass of botryoidal malachite that has lively green color and striking concentric banding!!! In addition to the fine malachite, there are two areas of curious, bluish green crystallization of unknown identity!!! This specimen is WAY better than the pics show - this malachite is unlike that of any other locality!!! Classic material!!! This specimen retains an old label from the Hoppner collection as well!!!
