Description/Interesting Notes: A rare locality example of malachite with cuprite and native copper from California!!! This specimen consists of a dense mass of green malachite that hosts numerous darkly colored stringers and masses of cuprite in addition to some small areas of native copper!!! Very fine networks of reddish cuprite are also present throughout the white colored portions of the matrix!!! The specimen retains an old affixed label from A.E. Foote and also retains its old, original glass lined specimen box from the Michigan College of Mines (A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum)!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
