Description/Interesting Notes:
An outstanding, old time example of cuprite on malachite with goethite from Bisbee!!! This specimen consists of complex, sculptural
group of botryoidal malachite crystals coated by jet-black goethite that hosts a rich showing of significant, razor-sharp, ruby red cuprite crystals!!! The malachite
has dense, lapidary character and particularly bright green color!!! The goethite has a unique texture that
is the result of every single acicular malachite crystal hosting a single rounded ball of lustrous goethite at each tip (visible under magnification!)!!! The
darkly colored goethite provides a magnificent background for the exceptionally high quality cuprite crystals that seems to further accentuate their
quality!!! The cuprite crystals have
razor-sharp octahedral form with glassy luster and lively ruby red color!!! This specimen is simply stunning in person!!! A magnificent old time Bisbee beauty indeed!!! This specimen is
from the collection of A.J. Beres!!!
