Description/Interesting Notes:
A classic, old time malachite specimen from Germany!!! This is a fascinating specimen indeed!!! This specimen is from an ancient copper mine that CLOSED in
1860!!! It has a number of old labels (including one rather interesting punch-card style label where you can see each section referring to
a general region or systematic classification) that seem to indicate that it was once mistaken for pseudomalachite!!! While it is undoubtedly
malachite, its appearance, as well as its massive heft, is rather unique in person!!! It is an attractive, multi-hued green botryoidal malachite specimen with a small
amount of quartz in association!!! A very impressive specimen that simply needs to be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! Simply incredible provenance!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
