Description/Interesting Notes:
A unique example of malachite from the Congo!!! This specimen consists of a curvacrous stalactite of malachite!!! This specimen
is completely natural and comprised of solid, lapidary grade malachite!!! This specimen has rich green color and a somewhat
sparkly luster!!! The surface shows a handsome range of hues, resulting from partially exposed concentric layers of
malachite!!! This concentric layering is seen quite dramatically on the bottom of the specimen, showing a classic
bulls-eye of concentric, multi-hued rings of green malachite!!! Upon close inspection with a scope or a lens, one can see some tiny
areas of an unidentified species in association on the stalactite's surface (looks like dark green chrysocolla perhaps)!!!
Classic material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
