Description/Interesting Notes:
A classic, old time pseudomorph from New Mexico!!! This locality has long been known for its copper pseudomorphs after azurite - however this unusual
specimen consists of a sharp, blocky azurite crystal that had been replaced by native copper that has subsequently altered to malachite!!! Upon close inspection, one
can see areas of native copper exposed among the malachite crystals!!! The copper in this case consist just of small portions of almost
spongiform copper!!! This specimen is quite sharp for the occurence and is much sharper than it appears in the pics!!! The specimen is
primarily comprised of malachite and there are patches of deeper green
tufts of fibrous malachite in areas!!! This specimen is complete and in fantastic condition!!! An unusual old time specimen from this noted locality!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
