Malachite & Bayldonite pseudomorph after Unknown with Wulfenite and Cerussite Tsumeb, Namibia 3.56cm x 3.48cm x 2.45cm

Description/Interesting Notes: An unusual, old time pseudomorph from Tsumeb!!! This is old, first oxidation zone material and dates to the earlier part of the 1900's!!! This specimen is a bit of a puzzle, consisting of a highly complex pseuodmorphs of malachite after unknown crystals!!! From the bottom and reverse of the specimen you can see what is going on with a bit more clarity - there appear to be blocky wulfenite crystals that appear to be altering to or coated by bayldonite and further covered by malachite!!! There appear to be some cerussite crystals in association with the wulfenite as well!!! The malachite exhibits a somewhat unusual fibrousness that produces a silky, matted outer surface!!! There is certainly a LOT more going on here with this specimen!!! A fantastic old time Tsumeb mystery!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
