Quartz on Malachite after Azurite with Chrysocolla Inspiration Mine, Globe-Miami District, Gila Co., Arizona 3.85cm x 3cm x 3cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A magnificent and aesthetic complex pseudomorph from this classic Arizona locale!!! This specimen hosts a broad crystal of azurite that has been completely replaced by deep green malachite and subsequently coated by sparkling crystals of druzy quartz!!! There are several other smaller pseudomorphs present as well!!! In a few smaller crystals, it appears that the original malachite after azurite pseudomorph has partially dissolved and a partial hollow quartz case remains!!! The underlying matrix is comprised of turquoise colored chrysocolla!!! Ther reverse of the large crystal shows two areas of contact where one can see that the inside is clearly comprized of finely crystallized malachite!!! This specimen is simply gorgeous in person!!! A very fine and unusual pseudomorph for the locality!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
