Description/Interesting Notes:
An absolutely gorgeous, old time example of azurite after malachite from Tsumeb!!! This specimen is from old, first oxidation zone material dating
to the 1920's!!! This specimen consists of a sharp, doubly terminated crystal of azurite that has been completely replaced by
striking, chatoyant green malachite!!! The crystal exhibits a unique and attractive, sharply defined "scepter" on one end - as well as
complex, related features on the opposite end!!! The pseudomorph has unusually sharp faces and dynamic, lustrous chatoyance all around!!!
There are some individual malachite crystal "fibers" that are surprisingly long and run almost the entire length of the crystal!!! There is a
small amount of cerussite in association as well!!! This classic beauty is undamaged and pristine all around!!!
This is a killer old time Tsumeb beauty!!! The pics don't
even come close to doing it justice!!! Must be seen in person
to be fully appreciated!!! Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY OCTOBER 6th!!!
