Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic example of native copper after malachite after cuprite from Hungary!!! This specimen is actually a double pseudomorph - this
specimen consists of two cubo-octahedral cuprite crystals that had been completely replaced by malachite crystals that were
subsequently replaced by native copper!!! Upon close inspection, one can see the intergrown
fibrous malachite crystals present on the crystals as well as individual
bungles of fibrous malachite crystals that are partially pseudomorphed to native copper, and malachite crystals that have been
completely pseudomorphed to native copper (which comprise the great majority of the specimen)!!! Aside from being a handsome specimen - complete and undamaged, this specimen
is also a fantastic example of pseudomorphism as well!!!
The pics don't evem come close to doing it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY AUGUST 25th!!!
