Description/Interesting Notes:
A very rare example of maldonite from Colorado!!! This specimen hosts numerous minute grains
of this rare gold bismuthide scattered throughout a network of silvery sulphides (arenopyrite) in matrix!!! The
specimen appears to be a partial drill-core and has been cut and polished on one side and the outer edge of the
core has been polished as well!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope, one distinguish the minute grains of
maldonite as they have a much more brilliant luster and smooth, solid surface!!! Confirmed material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!! This specimen is from the collection of
Tony Nikischer!!! We just acquired the 6000+ specimen PERSONAL collection of Tony Nikischer and there are going to be some
very exciting minerals to come in the upcoming days and weeks!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
