These old time specimens came out during a short period in the 1880's and have long since set the standard for the species - by several orders of magnitude!!! These Ilfeld manganites are scarce and have always been highly sought after and prized by collectors!!! In addition to several smaller crystals, this specimen hosts an incredible, pristine, brilliantly lustrous crystal of jet-black manganite to over 3.3cm!!!
