Description/Interesting Notes:
A classic, old time example of magnanite from Ilfeld!!! The manganite crystals from Ilfeld date back to the 19th century and have
long been sought after by collectors as some of the finest examples of the species known!!! This specimen consists of sharp, pristine
4cm prismatic crystal that exhibits a unique and attractive slightly flared habit!!! The crystal is HIGHLY lustrous and has
razor-sharp detail!!! The crystal has a complex termination that is brilliantly lutrous, razor-sharp, and pristine - it is quite
attractive indeed!!! This is a gorgeous, and very fine example of this sought after classic!!! This specimen retains
an old handscripted label as well as an additional label with Oxford University Museum notation!!! Don't miss out on this
valuable classic!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
