Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific example of manganoan calcite from Wessels!!! This specimen consists of a lustrous cluster of light pink manganoan calcite crystals!!! The crystals have complex, slightly curvaceous, stepped faces that are highly lustrous!!! The complex habit in combination with their luster gives the specimen an almost velvety "sheen" in person!!! The crystals have a marked translucence as well!!! Of course it fluoresces bright red as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
