Description/Interesting Notes: A rare, old time example of manganotantalite (Tantalite-Mn) from Brazil!!! This specimen is consits of a large manganotantalite crystal in association with a small amount of quartz!!! The manganotantalite exhibits significant flashes of deep red color and has reddish highlights throughout!!! This specimen came out of some old material (some dating well into the 1800's) from the University of Delaware and retains an old unattributed catalogue number affixed!!!
