Description/Interesting Notes:
An extraordinary example of this rare and sought after species from Franklin!!! Let me start off by saying that this specimen is way, WAY
better than the pics show!!! This specimen is not photographed under optimal UV conditions and the pics don't even come close to
capturing just how incredible this specimen is!!! This specimen hosts a VERY rich showing of margarosanite in association with
andradite and willemite!!! The margarosanite can be seen on every side of the specimen with rich and significant presentation!!!
The margarosanite exhibits a rich, pink fluorescence that is much more intense than the pics show!!! There are all kinds of
subtle hues and complex details that are brightly evident in person but do not show up in the pics!!! As you can see in the pics
however - this is a world-class margarosanite specimen indeed!!! The willemite is present as a few scattered grains that
fluoresce a bright yellow-green!!! Upon close inspection one can see a few tiny red grains of epidote-Pb as well!!! You
do not want to miss out on this exceptional specimen - this is a significant and
valuable Franklin rarity indeed!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer!!! We just acquired the 6000+ specimen PERSONAL collection of Tony Nikischer
