Maricopaite with Mimetite Moon Anchor Mine, Hummingbird Spring, Osborn District, Big Horn Mts, Maricopa Co., Arizona 3.6cm x 1.64cm x 1.47cm Ex. Neil A. Wintringham Collection

Description/Interesting Notes: A rare example of maricopaite from the type locality!!! This specimen hosts numerous acicular groups and "bow-ties" of white maricopaite in association with yellow mimetite!!! One thing I find somewhat fascinating about this rare species is its unusual composition, having 100 oxygen atoms in its formula!!! I can't think of many species that have triple digit subscript!!! In any case, this is a fantastic example of the species!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! This specimen retains its original Wintringham collection label!!!
