Description/Interesting Notes:
A magnificent example of this rare species from Broken Hill!!! This specimen is comprised almost entirely of crystalline marshite on a thin portion of
matrix in association with a small amount of cuprite and native copper!!! The marshite crystals owe their lively red color to rich inclusions
of bright red chalcotrichite!!! The marshite is very well crystallized, consisting of a dense network of lustrous, translucent red crystals that range in size to approximately 1mm!!!
Upon close inspection, the crystals triangular faces can clearly be seen as well!!! The pics don't come close to doing it justice!!! This is rare, older material from
Broken Hill!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY DECEMBER 9th!!!
