Description/Interesting Notes:
A very rare example of crystalline mcguinnessite from this rare locality in Maryland!!! This specimen hosts numerous acicular crystal "balls" of
mcguinnessite in addition to several patches of somewhat massive material!!! The color is a wonderful turquoise!!! This is a magnificent example indeed!!!
I was told that this locality was almost the type locality for the species, as it was found here prior to the California locality but was just not fully
identified!!! Regardless, this is simply a fantastic Maryland rarity!!! This specimen was acquired from the collection of Fred Parker -
what is considered by many to be the one of the most important and significant collections of Maryland minerals!!!
This specimen retains its original label of course!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS
