Cresson Mine, Eclipse Gulch, Cripple Creek District, Teller Co., Colorado
.71cm x .45cm x .18cm
Ex. A. E. Seaman Mineral Museum #RTC-723
Description/Interesting Notes:
A rare, old time example of melonite and native gold replacing calaverite from this historic Colorado locale!!! This specimen
consists of a well-formed group of calaverite crystals that have been completely replaced by silvery melonite and speckled with
native gold!!! One side of the specimen hosts a unique pair of intersecting, doubly terminated quartz crystals as well!!!
This specimen is from the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum and retains its orginal catalogued vial as well!!! Rare old time material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
