Description/Interesting Notes: A rare, old time example of native mercury from this seldom referenced locale!!! This specimen consists of a very rich mass of native mercury ore!!! The matrix consists of weathered calomel, calcite, and some quartz that hosts a rich distribution of bright silvery native mercury!!! There are also a few small cubic pyrite crystals and reddish microcrystals of cinnabar present as well!!! This specimen is very bright and lively in person - the pictures simply do not capture just how rich this specimen is!!! Fine examples of native mercury are quite scarce!!!
