Description/Interesting Notes: An exceptional, old time example of miargyrite from California!!! This specimen is a VERY rich example of miargyrite!!! Nearly all of the lustrous material seen in the pictures is massive miargyrite!!! Upon close inspection there are many significant areas that are actually broad, complexly crystalline surfaces!!! There are also numerous small miargyrite crystals tucked in small vugs and crevices!!! There are tiny reddish pyrargyrite crystals perched on the surface of the miargyrite!!! The cracks seen in the specimen actually host some crystalline material and allow one to see that this specimen is comprised largely of SOLID miargyrite!!! The dull colored material on the surface appears to be more of a "rind" on what is an extraordinary mass of miargyrite!!! The pics don't even come CLOSE to doing this specimen justice!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or a scope reveals lots of crystalline features as well as scattered miargyrite crystals!!! This specimen retains an old label from the personal collection of Bob Jenkins as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
