A fantastic example of this rare "ruby silver" species from California!!! Miargyrite is the least well known, and easily the rarest of the "ruby silvers" - the
others being pyrargyrite and proustite!!! This specimen hosts numerous brilliantly metallic crystals of myargyrite up to nearly 2mm!!! The crystals are very well
formed and quite impressive for the locality!!! In addition to the crystals, there is a significant amount of massive miargyrite as well!!! The pics hardly
do it justice!!! This specimen retains old labels from R.W. Tuthill, the Sunshine Acres School (a very "unique" fully
accredited private school - circa 1939, it was part of the nation's first Nudist colony), and the Wintringham Collection!!!
