Miargyrite De Lamar Mine, De Lamar District, Owyhee Co., Idaho 4.06cm x 3cm x 1.52cm

Description/Interesting Notes: A terrific example of miargyrite from Idaho!!! This specimen hosts two significant crystals of miargyrite on matrix in association with several other smaller crystals of miargyrite!!! Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope there are some tiny crystals of proustite in association as well (although they are difficult to discern in the pics, there are even some small proustite crystals perched directly on the miargyrite crystals)!!! The miargyrite crystals have highly complex, compound habits with sharp faces and silvery metallic luster!!! Simply a fantastic example of the species for the locality!!! This specimen retains an old label as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
