Description/Interesting Notes:
A terrific example of this very rare palladium bismuth telluride from Nevada!!! This specimen consists of
submillimeter grains of michenerite in association with the pyrite that is richly scattered throughout the matrix!!!
Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope one can see some minute silvery areas with some slightly iridescent
tarnish!!! The specimen retains an old label from analyst dealer Sid Williams that denotes the specimen as Michenerite but
also shows platinum in its formula as well(which is a common impurity in Michenerite)!!!
These old time palladium and platinum tellurides from Nevada are quite scarce indeed!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
This specimen is from the collection of Tony Nikischer and retains its original personal collection label!!! We just acquired the 6000+ specimen PERSONAL collection of Tony Nikischer
