Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic example of mimetite from Tsumeb!!! This specimen hosts what appear to be two different groups of
mimetite crystals - one group consisting of dramatically elongated, gemmy, golden crystals and the other group consisting of stout prismatic
crystals that have a decidedly green hue and cover the majority of the specimen!!! The mimetite crystals
range in size up to 1.5cm!!! Upon close inspection, one can see that the greenish mimetite crystals actually
show marked clarity as well and owe their color to an unidentifed green mineral included within!!! One can also see a couple
tiny, millimeter sized balls of malachite dotted around the specimen as well!!! In person the mimetite crystals are
much more prominent and the elongated crystals are much more numerous than it appears in the pics!!! Although not
all of the crystals are complete, the majority are and the specimen displays quite handsomely indeed!!! This specimen is from the collection of
Tony Nikischer and retains its original personal collection label as well!!! We just acquired the 6000+ specimen
PERSONAL collection of Tony Nikischer and there are going to be some very exciting minerals to come in the upcoming
days and weeks!!!
