An incredible example of mimetite from Cornwall!!! This is an OLD specimen, dating to the 19th century!!! This specimen consists of a multi-hued
group of botryoidal mimetite crystals!!! The crystals have a wonderful reddish orange color that appears to be selectively shaded from light to dark across
the botryoidal forms!!! This specimen is surprisingly heavy and very dense!!! On the side of the specimen you can see that some of the
botryoidal forms have an inner core of rich orange followed by an outer layer of yellowish white to nearly white and then, ultimately, the outer color of multi-hued
reds!!! On the underside of the crystal, there are some isolated individual crystals as well!!! Upon close inspection, one can clearly see sharp
crystallization on these crystals!!! This specimen is simply incredible in person!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
This specimen is from the Albert Peppis Collection and retains his original label - detailed information about both him and the collection are on our
