Description/Interesting Notes: A rare, old time example of monazite from Virginia!!! This specimen consists of a large, partial crystal of monazite!!! The crystal has root-beer color with some sharply defined features and marked luster!!! This specimen is from the A.E. Seamand Mineral Museum and retains an old label with G. A. Koenig Collection (1844-1913) notation as well!!! Rare old time material!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
