Description/Interesting Notes:
A rare locality example of moonstone albite from Pennsylvania!!! This specimen consists of a lively portion of crystalline albite moonstone that, also
hosts small areas of orange iridescent sunstone!!! The moonstone is lustrous and translucent and shows fantastic adularescence even in dim lighting!!! The
crystal shows a bright electric blue flash across its broad surface on both sides!!! In addition to the lively blue adularescence, there is a small area
on both the front and back that are actually sunstone - and exhibit the characteristic orange iridescent flecks within!!! The moonstone and sunstone react at
seperate and distinct angles and, with two light sources, you can actually see both features simultaneously!!! I have never seen these two varietals
present in the same specimen - a very rare feature indeed!!! This specimen retains an old label from John Albanese as well as a previously affixed unattributed label that
is somewhat older as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
