Description/Interesting Notes:
A very rare, old time example of moschellandsbergite from the type locality in Germany!!! This specimen consists of a broad, vuggy
matrix that hosts two crystals of silvery moschellandsbergite in addition to scattered crystals of cinnabar, native mercury, and
areas lined with tiny siderite crystals!!! The moschellandsbergite crystals are both nearly 3mm in size!!! The crystals have
well defined faces and bright, silvery metallic luster!!! Upon close inspection one can find numerous small areas of
native mercury and tiny crystals of cinnabar!!! There appear to be some other unidentified species in association as well!!! There
are also more vugs that could be further exposed if one so desired!!! This is rare, old time material that dates to the 19th century!!!
This specimen retains an old Czech label as well!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED SATURDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 5-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY APRIL 19th!!!
