Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic, old time example of this very rare silver bearing species from the type locality in Germany!!! This specimen hosts a
complex single crystal of moschellandsbergite prominently perched on matrix!!! The crystal measures 7mm and exhibits a
combination of sharp, euhedral faces and irregular "sunken in" features - a characteristic feature seen when these unusual crystals
lose mercury over time (not unlike a raisin!)!!! This specimen dates to the late 19th century and retains
an old label from George English that dates to between 1887-1891!!! There is also an old label from the Joe Cilen collection as well!!!
Rare old time material!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY MAY 17th!!!
