Description/Interesting Notes:
A fantastic, old time example of this very rare and sought after species from the type locality!!! This specimen consists of a
vuggy matrix loaded with tiny golden siderite rhombs in association that hosts numerous brilliant
blebs of native mercury encapsulated by cinnabar and unidentified mineralization in addition to a complex single crystal of
moschellandsbergite!!! The moschellandsbergite has a highly complex habit with brilliant faces and measures just over 3mm!!!
Upon close inspection with a loupe or scope one can see at least three unidentified species in association as well!!! There is
much more to see on this rare specimen!!! These type locality moschellandsbergites date to the mid-1800's!!! This specimen
retains an old label from Forrest Cureton as well!!!
The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!
Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!! STAY TUNED!!! MORE AUCTIONS WILL BE ADDED MONDAY NIGHT FOR A SPECIAL 3-DAY AUCTION, ENDING THURSDAY DECEMBER 15th!!!
